Late in the summer of 2002 ...
we took this fantastic four-and-half-week camping vacation out west and had an absolutely marvelous time.

The camera I used was top notch at the time. It was a Sony Mavica MVC-CD1000 digital camera with a max resolution of 1024x768. Yep, that's one mega-pixel. It stored the pictures (about 8 to 12 of them) on a 3.5" floppy disk. The process of transferring the pictures from the camera to my HP notebook was slow.
