Happy warm weather to you all!

You found me! I'm the man behind many websites. This is MY website created as a place for me to display my personal ideas and stuff. You may find my "Stuff" somewhat interesting and maybe amusing.

This site is also a place for me to test some of my website design ideas. Yep, I design and create websites. That's what I do and have a lot of fun doing it.

...and now you strangers know what I look like.

Soon it will be time to make an appointment for "End-of-Life Counseling" if our Führer gets his way. For the ignorant people out there, Führer is the German word for leader. I know what you were thinking. Wise up.

How can anybody give more than 100% effort? To say something like "He gave 110% effort to the project" is a really stupid statement. Well, okay, if he did give 110%, that's probably what killed him.So, don't even attempt to give more than 100%.

Never buy anything from someone who is out of breath.

For you swimmers; don't dive into an empty pool.

People who say it can not be done should not interrupt those who are doing it.

May the wind sing to you and the sun rise in your heart.

More Important Things

Alan's Gift List

Yes, here it is! Everybody's been asking for it. I really need (or want) this stuff - some of my favorite things:
Blue Diamond Almonds - Sam's Club sells this in 3 or 4-pound bags
Dry-Roasted Peanuts - unsalted or lightly salted
Chocolate Covered Raisins and Peanuts
Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Booze

Disaronno
Drambuie
Lauders Scotch to mix with above Drambuie (a 50/50 mix makes my favorite drink, the Rusty Nail)
Glenlivet Single-Malt Scotch (12 year is fine) (15 year is great, but VERY expensive)
Chivis Regal - a favorite for years - this is some fine, more moderately priced Scotch
Jim Beam Whiskey (Bourbon is good, and so good for you)
Jack Daniels - did you ever have Jack and Coke?
Coconut Rum
Crown Royal
Fruit Cake - yes, I like this stuff - only available at Christmas (and maybe that's a good thing)
Cigars - nothing special - A&C Grenadiers are fine (I'm a simple man)

Yep, all consumables here. No clothes (well, maybe a nice flannel shirt). No gloves, I have too many. No neckties, I have too many. I have simple needs and wants. Money is at the top of the list.

If someone is shooting at you, you know you are doing something right.

A Military contract describes a pencil as a "portable, hand-held communications inscriber". . . . okay....

Left - Politics - Right

The Obama administration's motto (actually this suites any government entity)

If it's moving, tax it.
If it stops moving, subsidize it.
If it's still moving. regulate it.

Here's a couple of quotes of caution to all you Democrats/Socialists out there

"The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of 'liberalism' they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."
- Norman Thomas

"All bad precedents began as justifiable measures." - Julius Caesar

"A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have."
- Thomas Jefferson

A Really Stupid Obama Quote

"We are no longer a Christian nation."
Oh, really? When did this happen?

A Really Stupid Nancy Pelosi Quote - a reason to pass the health care bill

"We have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it"
Well, why would they bother to read it before passing it?

Our Senators and Representatives

In a word (or three), follow the money. Our representatives are not representing us. We should all be mad as hell at them. These creeps are doing what makes them wealthy. Just look at their retirement and health care packages. You only see government getting bigger and not smaller.

Blame Bush

...so you voted for Obama because you didn't like Bush.
Hey, stupid! Bush wasn't running in 2008. Okay, you didn't like his policies. But, congress was controlled by the Democrats for the last four years of Bush's regime. The Dems passed the bills and Bush signed them. Okay, blame Bush for signing the crap drafted by the Democratic congress. That seems fair.

God Bless America!

In the "Wise Up" Department . . .

Why aren't TV people smarter?

There is NO "R" in Autopsy.

Boycott Citgo

Don't buy Citgo or Petro Express gas. You should know why! If you don't, well, Citgo, and now Petro Express, is owned by Hugo Chavez, as in president of Venezuela. This creepy dictator hates America and everything it stands for. Do the right thing and boycott these two gas stations, coast to coast.

Too Big to Fail - not political, just common sense

Really, if they (banks, businesses) are too big to fail, then why in the hell do we let them stay so BIG? Shouldn't the government cut them down in size, you know, bust them up like they did AT&T years ago? Then, when they fail, they won't be TOO BIG to fail and we can just let them fail without a public bailout. It's cheaper this way and the government will have done it's duty by protecting us. I'm actually serious about this.
