No more scheduled camping for 2009

The food is now posted. We took the liberty to assign Jerry's "usual" food choices for him. I hope you agree Jerry. If not, send me a correcting email. April camping is closing in. Don't forget to bring your snow shoes, raincoats, extra blankets, etc.

Also, I think we all agree to NOT make reservations for September and October and just drive in and take our chances.

The camping year is just beginning. A lot of reservations have been made. I'm working on getting everything posted. Please wait... (don't you just hate that?)

Note

No more Dinner. Too formal. We're going to call it Supper from now on (even though we use tableclothes). After all, we can drop food on the floor (ground) and we don't have to clean it up.

Visited by Al & Shelly, Pam & Tom & kids.
The weather was beautiful on Friday and Saturday. Sunny and 70 degrees or so with a good breeze. But, as expected, it went downhill on Sunday. Cloudy, much cooler and very windy, but no rain. Late Sunday night and Monday was bad. Rain with a very strong wind. At six in the morning, the wind tried to kill Matt and Gaylene's screen room. Not fun.
We all went to Ron's funeral on Tuesday. Very nice meal and get-together after.
April camping at Algonac must go!

Friday and Saturday weather was okay; a little breezy. It rained a lot late Friday night.
John and Pauline, Pam, Tom and Sarah, Al, Shelly with daughter and grandson all visited.
Went to the local subdivision garage sale and bought a bunch of treasures.

Notes about this Trip

Carol and Chrintine joined us on Saturday for the entire day. Nikki & Scott and Al & Shelly visited on Saturday and N&S spent the night. Sunday proved to be the big day for visitors: Lynn's entire (Rayburn) family, John and Pauline. We welcomed Pan and Jack on Monday. More visitors than registered campers.

Except for a lot of rain Friday night, the weather was absolutely beautiful. Sunny and warm. The tempurature got up into the 80's.

Notes about this Trip

Overall, the weather was good. It rained a little on Friday and Saturday with some wind (very windy on the beach) and the temperature was in the high 60's. In the 70's on Sunday thru Wednesday.
Alan and Diane joined the Tin Can Tourists' for Monday and got a free night's camping for Tuesday night.
Bad news for Jerry. Some idiot pulled out in front of him and he plowed into his rear. Jerry's truck took a beating. We picked him up on Saturday from Evergreen park. He stayed the night with the Tonks and we drove him back on Sunday.

Notes about this Trip

The weather was chilly, mostly sunny, crappy looking skies at times then quickly changing. Very breezy most of the time. The temperature got to 80 one day but barely into the 70's the rest of the time.
Bought some really great cheeze at Williams which is south of Pinconning.
Alan replaced a trailer tire on the way up and lost the 2nd one on the way back home. Could have been worse.
Alan rode his bike to downtown Tawas and back. Good trip.
Two other campers joined us for Sunday devotion. Panera coffee cake afterwards. Mmm, Mmm, good.
